OKEGOAL.COM - There are two big advantages to AC Milan's success in attracting Tijani Reigners in the 2023 summer transfer market.
After slowing down, AC Milan finally managed to come to an agreement to acquire Tijani Rijenderes from AZ Alkmaar.
According to a report by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, AC Milan and AZ Alkmaar have agreed on a transfer fee for Regenders.
It was reported that Ana Rossoneri had to pay a fee of 20 million euros or the equivalent of IDR 530 billion to recruit this player who has Indonesian blood.
Romano later said that Rejenderes would have a medical next Sunday and sign a four-year contract.
This means that Reijnders will play at AC Milan until June 2027.
After the conclusion of the agreement, Reijnders' transfer to AC Milan received comments from Massimo Ambrosini.
The former Rossoneri player said Rejenderes would bring two blessings to Milan.
Firstly, from Ambrosini's point of view, he can provide strength in Milan's midfield.
Secondly, the 24-year-old can be relied upon to score goals.
“He will be the midfielder in Pioli,” Massimo Ambrosini said in remarks reported by “Polsport” newspaper from Semper Milan.
“He's not a classic midfielder like Jorginho.”
On the contrary, he is as dynamic and aggressive as AC Milan.
“The Rossoneri will put more pressure on their opponents.”
“Rijders can also score goals, and that's very important.”
Ambrosini added, “Milan lost goals from midfielders, and the gap with Napoli in the Italian League and Inter in the Champions League also proves that.”
Later, Reijnders will become Milan's fifth recruit in the summer of 2023.
Milan previously acquired 4 players in the summer transfer market this year.
They are Marco Sportiello, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Luca Romero and Christian Pulisic.
Sportiello was recruited by Milan from Atalanta for free.
The 31-year-old is bound by an employment contract that runs until June 2027.
This means that Sportiello will be Mike Mignan's deputy for the next four years.
Loftus-Cheek was then recruited by AC Milan from English Premier League club, Chelsea.
