Thanks for joining our commentary this afternoon. Until next time, goodbye.

Juventus are next in action on Wednesday in their Coppa Italia quarter-final clash against SPAL at home. Bologna host AC Milan next Saturday in their next Serie A contest.

Juventus bounce back from their defeat to Inter with a 2-0 triumph over Bologna this afternoon in their Serie A clash. It was not a classic performance from Andrea Pirlo’s men, but a solid outing to earn the three points. Arthur’s deflected strike put the hosts ahead in the 15th minute, while Lukas Skorupski made a string of fine saves to keep the visitors in the game. However, Weston McKennie secured the win for the Bianconeri with a fine header 19 minutes from time.

49′ SAVE! Bologna keep the pressure on from the resulting corner. The home side clear the initial cross, but Barrow gathers and hammers a low strike at goal from the edge of the box that Szczesny gets down to smother.

48′ WHAT A SAVE! Szczesny stops Cuadrado scoring a spectacular own goal. Schouten raids down the right flank and delivers a dangerous cross into the box. Cuadrado gets his clearance all wrong and heads back towards his own goal with power. The Pole reacts brilliantly to turn it over the bar.

Juventus hold a 1-0 lead over Bologna in their Serie A clash at Allianz Stadium. Arthur’s deflected strike put the hosts in front in the 15th minute as Lukasz Skorpuski was powerless between the posts. However, Skorupski did keep the visitors in the game with a brilliant double save to deny Cristiano Ronaldo and Federico Bernadeschi. As a result, the match remains in the balance at the break.

28′ DOUBLE SAVE! Skorupski keeps Bologna in the game with a brilliant double save. Ronaldo twists and turns on the edge of the Bologna box before rifling an effort at goal. Skorupski gets down to palm it away from goal, but Bernardeschi is first to pounce on the rebound. The Bologna keeper is up straight away and denies the winger from close range with his feet.

15′ Ronaldo works the ball to Arthur in space and the midfielder finds the back of the net with his deflected strike.

15′ GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!! ARTHUR PUTS JUVE AHEAD!!!!! 1-0!!! The home side take the lead as the Brazilian sees his strike deflect off Schouten and find the bottom corner. Arthur is afforded space and time to launch a strike at goal. It’s not an overly powerful effort, but it hits the Bologna midfielder and completely wrong foots Skroupski, travelling away from the keeper into the bottom-right corner. A slice of luck for the hosts.

15′ Barrow is played into space down the left flank and he charges into the box. Soriano takes over in the inside channel and cuts a low ball into the middle that just evades Vignato as Szczesny gathers.

During the streak of nine consecutive league title-winning seasons, Juventus were unbeaten against Bologna in Serie A (16 meetings: 13W D3) – in this period, Bologna were the side that scored the fewest goals against the Bianconeri (seven goals), among the teams they faced more than 10 times.

Bologna have also made a single change to their line-up that overcame Hellas Verona in their 1-0 triumph. Svanberg gets the nod to start in front of the back four in place of Dominguez, who drops to the bench. Barrow continues to lead the line for Mihajlovic’s men.

Juventus have made one change to their side that beat Napoli last time out. Chiesa drops out of the starting line-up to the bench and is replaced on the left flank by Bernadeschi. Pirlo keeps the experienced tandem of Chiellini and Bonucci in the middle of the backline ahead of De Ligt.

Bologna ended an eight-match winless run in their last outing by beating Hellas Verona on home soil. The club had drifted towards the foot of the table after a solid start to the campaign. A strike from the penalty spot from Riccardo Orsolini secured the three points for Sinisa Mihajlovic’s men. However, they need to be even better this afternoon against the reigning champions.

Juventus claimed the Supercoppa Italiana during the week with a 2-0 victory over Napoli courtesy of goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Alvaro Morata, allowing Andrea Pirlo to secure his first trophy as a manager. However, the Italian has to right the ship in Serie A as the Bianconeri are well off the pace in the title race after a 2-0 defeat to Inter last time out. Juve need to get back to winning ways today.
