Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
Both sides now have the opportunity to regroup and prepare for the next Ligue 1 campaign that will begin in August.
PSG hold up their end of the bargain by recording a 2-0 win over Brest in their Ligue 1 clash, but Lille’s victory over Angers has seen Christophe Galtier’s men crowned champions. An own goal from Romain Faivre handed PSG the lead after Neymar missed a first-half penalty. Kylian Mbappe put the game beyond doubt in the second half, but it was not enough for Mauricio Pochettino’s side. On the other side of the field, Brest were celebrating after Nantes’ defeat to Montpellier kept them out of the relegation play-off place. A real contrast of emotions at the Stade Francis-Le Ble.

71′ GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!! MBAPPE DOUBLES PSG’S LEAD!!!!! 2-0!!!!! The forward is clinical from close range to extend his side’s advantage, although it looks to be in vain for their title hopes. Di Maria releases Mbappe through on goal and he rounds Larsonneur as the keeper commits himself early. Duverne makes a great challenge to stop his first strike, but the ball falls kindly for the forward and he gets to his feet before tapping home into an empty net.
69′ CHANCE! Faivre is denied by Navas. Brest cut open PSG at the back as Charbonnier breaks down the left flank. He delivers a perfect cross for Mounie to nod into the path of Faivre, but he sees his low strike blocked by the feet of the PSG keeper.

46′ We’re back under way in this Ligue 1 clash.
Lille’s 2-0 lead over Angers has them 45 minutes away from the title. There’s nothing PSG can do about that other than hope Angers do them an incredible favour. Brest meanwhile have slipped into 17th place, and are only outside the relegation play-off spot on goal difference.
PSG hold a 1-0 lead over Brest at the break in their Ligue 1 clash, although as it stands it is not good enough to hand them the title. Neymar placed a penalty wide of the target after Angel Di Maria was brought down in the box. However, the visitors earned a huge slice of luck to forge ahead when Di Maria’s corner was deflected into the net by Romain Faivre.
45′ HALF-TIME: BREST 0-1 PSG

37′ GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!! PSG SCORE DIRECT FROM A CORNER!!!! 1-0!!!! The visitors take the lead and their title hopes have a lifeline as Di Maria’s corner takes a massive deflection off Faivre and loops over Larsonneur to find the back of the net. The Brest keeper makes a trigger movement to his near post, but the deflection catches him completely flat-footed and he is powerless to keep it out.
37′ Mbappe turns on the pace and he surges into the left-inside channel. The forward places a low ball across the face of goal, but Perraud is there to sweep it behind for a corner.
35′ Magnetti charges in with a late challenge on KImpembe and goes into the book.
34′ Neymar is frustrated as he fails to get a decision on the left flank. He is guilty of dissent and is booked by the referee. He has to watch his temperament now.

27′ Herrera pulls back Faivre on a break down the right flank and he goes into the book.

21′ Di Maria probes down the right flank and tries to lift a cross towards the near post, but Larsonneur claims the delivery with ease.
19′ MISS! Neymar misses the target from 12 yards with his spot-kick. Larsonneur presents him with a portion of the goal to aim at before the Brazilian stutters with his run-up. He makes a last-second adjustment, and in doing so Neymar places his right-footed strike wide of the right post.
18′ PENALTY TO PSG! The visitors are awarded a spot-kick as Faivre dives in on Di Maria with a reckless challenge and the referee has no alternative but to point to the spot.
17′ Marquinhos sends an offload forward for Mbappe to chase in a foot race with Duverne. However, the defender does well to fend off the Frenchman and guide the ball back to Larsonneuer.
15′ Dagba makes a good run down the right flank, but his low cross into the middle is intercepted by Belkebla patrolling in front of his back four.
14′ PSG have been content to knock the ball around the pitch at a gentle pace. Pochettino’s men are not forcing the issue despite the situation elsewhere.

4′ Magnetti and Neymar tussle for possession and it results in the Brazilian being sent to the deck by a loose challenge from the Brest midfielder.
3′ Perraud miscues a knockback to Larsonneur, and it forces the keeper into a hurried clearance into touch to prevent pressure from Di Maria.
2′ SAVE! Mounie rises highest in the box to connect with a header from a cross from Perraud, but he directs his attempt straight at Navas.
1′ We’re under way in this final day Ligue 1 clash.
Only one point separates Lille (80) and Paris (79) before the last Ligue 1 matchday of the season, the smallest gap between a leader and their runner-up at this stage of the competition since the 2001/02 season (Lens with a one-point lead over Lyon; Lyon became champions). PSG will be crowned French champions for the 10th time if they better LOSC’s result.
PSG have made five changes to their side that triumphed in the Coupe de France final against Monaco. Dagba and Kimpembe return to the back four in place of Alessandro Florenzi and Kehrer, with the Italian missing out tonight. Herrera and Rafinha get the nod ahead of Paredes and Gueye in the midfield, while Neymar ousts Icardi in the final third.
Brest have named an unchanged side from their draw against Montpellier last time out. Mounie and Charbonnier lead the line for the home side, with Faivre and Honorat operating on the flanks. Duverne and Chardonnet anchor the backline in front of Larsonneur. Jean Lucas returns to the bench after missing time due to injury.
PSG SUBS: Thilo Kehrer, Leandro Paredes, Mauro Icardi, Sergio Rico, Moise Kean, Pablo Sarabia, Julian Draxler, Mitchel Bakker, Idrissa Gueye.
PSG (4-2-3-1): Keylor Navas; Colin Dagba, Marquinhos, Presnel Kimpembe, Abdou Diallo; Ander Herrera, Danilo Pereira; Angel Di Maria, Rafinha, Neymar; Kylian Mbappe.
BREST SUBS: Lilian Brassier, Jean Lucas, Irvin Cardona, Ferris N’Goma, Ronael Pierre-Gabriel, Ludovic Baal, Jeremy Le Douaron, Hianga’a M’Bock, Mouez Hassen.
BREST (4-4-2): Gautier Larsonneur; Julien Faussurier, Brendan Chardonnet, Jean-Kevin Duverne, Romain Perraud; Romain Faivre, Hugo Magnetti, Haris Belkebla, Franck Honorat; Steve Mounie, Gaetan Charbonnier.
Paris Saint-Germain have a simple formula at hand in their bid to win the Ligue 1 crown. They have to win and hope that Lille slip up in their contest against Angers on the road. Anything other than a victory and a Lille draw or defeat will see the title head to the Stade Pierre Mauroy. Mauricio Pochettino’s men have found momentum of late, surging past Monaco to claim the Coupe de France in their last outing. They need another top performance to snatch the crown away from Lille tonight.
Brest are in a battle to save themselves from the relegation play-off in Ligue 1. They begin the evening one point clear of Nantes in 16th place, but they may have to rely on results elsewhere to go in their favour to avoid slipping into the play-off spot. Manager Olivier Dall’Oglio is potentially taking charge of his final game of the club, pending their fate. He will be determined to sign off with a successful finish, although his team are winless in three matches having drawn 0-0 last time out against Montpellier.
Good evening and welcome to the live commentary of the Ligue 1 clash between Brest and Paris Saint-Germain at the Stade Francis-Le Ble.
